LINKdotNET is considered the first company to launch the KINECT in the Egyptian market in cooperation with Microsoft. LINKdotNET provided KINECT with a very special discount for all existing and new customers after a few months of its release worldwide which received an unprecedented success.
KINECT is characterized with high capabilities that monitors 3D physical movements and responds to orders, instructions and tone of voice even in the presence of noise which allows it to identify the player’s facial features and absorb the player’s needs and demands.
Mr. Karim Beshara, CEO of LINKdotNET stated: “This year, the company is keen not only on introducing a variety of special offers but also on providing the visitors with a fun and entertaining atmosphere through the possibility of experiencing the KINECT at Microsoft booth which is part of the company’s keenness on introducing all what is new in the entertainment world and make it available to all its customers.”
He also added: “KINECT is considered a breakthrough in the entertainment and virtual world that allows users to physically become the game controller rather than use a hand-held joystick to play the game. At the same time, it is designed in a simple way that excludes the complications of other electronic games by easy controls and different physical motion games that are closer to reality. Moreover, the Xbox 360 KINECT is ideal for all family members with gaming platforms tailored to children, young adults, parents and professionals. By requiring the player to be the controller, the Xbox 360 KINECT guarantees an engaging and physically active gaming experience that can be used for exercise and educational purposes”.
Mr. Ayman Abdel Latif, General Manager Microsoft Egypt stated: “KINECT from Microsoft, is considered a true revolution in the home entertainment world as it allows users with unprecedented capabilities to enjoy video games using physical movements rather than the hand held joystick. We are extremely happy to showcase this product through LINKdotNET to allow visitors to experience the game during Cairo ICT 2011 at Microsoft booth.”
It is also worth mentioning that the Xbox 360 KINECT (previously known as Project Natal) is a revolutionary controller-free gaming and entertainment experience developed by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform. Through a webcam-style add-on, the KINECT sensor allows users to physically become the game controller rather than use a hand-held joystick to play the game. The camera scans the player’s physical attributes and records gestures, spoken commands and presented objects and images, allowing the player to control every movement and object on-screen. Players may introduce objects, such as a skateboard, to the motion sensor that will be scanned into the game allowing the on-screen avatar to thereby use a virtual skateboard.
